Day six: Prettiest Princess

Ariel from The Little Mermaid  is absolutely gorgeous! When I was little I envied her hair and her voice.

Aurora from Sleeping Beauty. I actually really loved this movie, I’m surprised I haven’t mentioned it before now. Aurora has always been one of the prettiest princesses.

One of the newer Disney princesses is Princess Tiana. She is so pretty, but her attitude about life and how to make dreams come true is even prettier.

Day Five: Favorite Kiss

Belle and the Beast’s kiss after his transformation into the prince he is.

Ariel and Prince Eric after Ariel’s father transforms her into a human forever.

“I knew it was you” Gisele and Robert’s kiss after she ate the poison apple.

Day four: Favorite Song

So I am going to attempt to add video from I have never done this before so it might not work.

Just Around the Riverbend

Belle’s reprise

Part of Your World

A Whole New World

Just a bump in the road

Well, I did have 3 room mates, but they give you room mates by the arrival date. Two of the girls we were going to room with ended up having to change their arrival dates. Which means I only have one room mate for now, so I suppose we’ll have to keep posting on the facebook page dedicated to finding room mates. We’ll find some people. Just a bump in the road.

Day Three: Favorite Prince

I will never know why they never gave him an name, but he’s an amazing character. He truly learned how to love another and get over himself. Plus, when he winces at Belle cleaning his wounds I can’t help but chuckle!

Captain John Smith. Again Pocahontas. I know I know my obsession is pathetic. His song to Pocahontas is what stole my heart. “I’d rather die tomorrow than live the rest of my life without knowing you” And to say that when facing execution, it doesn’t get more real than that.

Prince Eric. He fell in love with a voice, and then started to fall for the girl without a voice. When he realized it was in fact her, he risked being killed by the sea witch to save her. He ended up being the strong and handsome prince that killed the sea witch in the end. Of course the ever knight in shining armor.

That’s it for today 🙂 See you tomorrow!!

Day Two: Favorite Princess

Well this one is a bit difficult… I have a lot of favorite princesses. So I’ll post all of them!

Belle‘s dream and my dream are pretty much the same. “I want adventure in the great wide somewhere. I want it more than I can tell. And for once it might be grand to have someone understand I want so much more than they’ve got planned” (That is the sole reason for the name of my blog) Growing up in Small Town West Virginia, I wanted nothing more than to get out of there and spread my wings. Now, that dream is coming true. Another thing I love about Belle is that she looks past the handsome and superficial Gaston and falls in love with the ugly but kind beast.

Megara. She fell in love and sold her soul to save her lover’s life. When he dumped her and left for another girl, she was left to Hades. Disney movies don’t really talk about big problems like that anymore. Hercules was one of the great movies that we probably won’t see anymore.

Pocahontas. A brave woman who loves animals and nature that way it should be. She was the first American Disney Princess, the daughter of the chief of the tribe. She is betrothed to a man she doesn’t love and is dreading marrying him, but she probably would have, if she hadn’t met John Smith. Plus, again, I was a bit obsessed with the movie as a little girl.

Who doesn’t love Ariel? She dreams of being human while most little girls dream of being a mermaid. She fell in love with a handsome prince and vows to make her dream true. When her father sees how much she does love him he makes it true for real and for life.

Well I think that’s all I’m posting for now!

Have a magical day!

Day one- Favorite Disney Movie

Pocahontas was my favorite movie growing up. Something about the way she doesn’t change who she is for anyone. Plus when I was little I had just found out that my great great grandmother was a full blooded indian. I thought I was related to Pocahontas. I know it’s weird but hey I was 10!

What little girl doesn’t love The Little Mermaid!? The songs, the dream, the songs, the characters, the songs, the friendship, and the songs! Did I mention the songs? I love the Little Mermaid.

The Beauty and The Beast, oooh memories. I can remember watching this with my grandmother when I was little. She told me that I was a beauty and that I would find a handsome prince just like Belle did. She told me not to judge people by what they look like because looks do not make a person. When my gramma passed away I kept this with me. I have been with an amazing man for 3 and a half years now, she never met him. He is my prince ❤
I miss you, Gramma! Betty Lou Shuman 3/21/37- 12/20/06 gone but never forgotten.

So far I have found 3 girls to room with! If we can get a 2 bedroom apartment then we’ll be all set! If not then we either need 2 or 4 more! Wow this is just one step closer! I know going to Florida will be a pretty big culture change, but I’m ready to embrace what the world outside of my state has to offer! Wow! This is the most exciting thing I’ve ever been able to do!! I’ve never been to Florida!

Sorry it’s a short one!

Short post

Sorry about my first post! My room mate started the new Harry Potter movie and I wanted to see it!

Anyway! After I was accepted into the program I had to accept my acceptance. So to speak. I got their website and logged in with the information they gave me and read through my job duties. After I accepted everything I had to pay a non-refundable fee of $304.50. That covered my housing fee, assessment fee, and administration fee. That is the only time I have to pay them! I need a plane ticket and I’ll need work shoes, but other than that I’m set! After I paid the fee, I chose my arrival and departure dates. I chose the earliest one I had to choose from. The earliest one that wasn’t full yet was August 17th to January 6th. I cannot wait! I don’t know if I will be posting everyday, seeing as I won’t be in Florida for 3 months, but I will post when big things happen. Like I buy my plane ticket or something like that. If you’re reading this and thinking about applying, feel free to ask me questions in the comment box below!!

Have a MAGICAL day!
